Eight
Taking a moment to reflect on life and my sweet daughter that made me a mama for the first time! Tomorrow she turns eight years old! Yes, eight! How is that even possible?! I think each year goes faster as my girls get older, either that or it’s just that I’m getting older because it feels like she just turned 7 yesterday.
Tomorrow we’ll be celebrating how great eight and my daughter is, with friends and family. Many months ago, she decided on a unicorn party theme, which was a score for this mama! My girls picked the trendiest party themes this year, so it’s been a breeze finding supplies and decor. Since I love the majestic creatures myself, I carry a decent variety of unicorn products in my shop, which also made it easy to plan this celebration.
Of course with every celebration, invites are a must! Here’s a peek at the invitations that I designed for her party, using photoshop. I kept the invitations clean and simple with hints of gold, pink and purple to match our color scheme.
And because I love to capture my girls on film, we recently did a birthday photo shoot. We love to take annual photos of our girls. It’s such a special way to remember the past, and hold onto little bits of time as they mature. I also love that my girls have these photos to look back on. One day I know they’ll appreciate them!

What she wore
For this year’s photos, we found a look that would pair well with the theme of her birthday! Can we just talk about this sequin skirt for a minute?! Also that face!

This is the second year in a row that I’ve wished her skirts came in my size. The sequins paired sweetly with her purple unicorn tank.

We lucked out finding themed purses for my girl’s birthdays this year. This unicorn shoulder bag doesn’t fit much inside, but it was too cute to pass up.
Color coordinating nails to finish off her party look!

Unfortunately the tank and purse seen here are sold out, but the sequin skirt is available, and I’ve linked a few similar items as well.
I’m literally covered in frosting and flour as I type this, but I had to take a few minutes away from party prep for my first-born baby. I so adore the way she dreams, her creativity and kind heart. Her love for others and compassion is admirable, as is her zest for life and love for learning. She’s my little book-worm, who’s also turning into quite the little photographer.
Continue to dream big and smile that beautiful smile of yours my sweet girl.
You are my inspiration.

All our unicorn party deets will be posted here soon! In the mean time, you can find some bts footage over on instagram! Happy weekend all!
