Nutella Truffles
Hope you guys are having a great start to the week! If you love Nutella as much as I do, then today’s quick and easy recipe is for you!
I was experimenting with the idea of making homemade dairy free nutella a few days ago and although I didn’t get nutella, I did get a rich chocolate and hazelnutty blend with a consistency perfect for making truffles.
And who doesn’t love truffles?! Especially when they taste just like nutella and require only 4 ingredients to make.
Nutella Truffles

Dark chocolate, roasted hazelnuts + sea salt and cocoa powder for garnish.

Decadant, delicious, dairy free and the perfect pick-me-up for dreary Mondays.

Nutella Truffles
Description
Dairy free dark chocolate and roasted hazelnuts make up these nutella delights.
Vegan & dairy free.
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup hazelnuts roasted (with some of the skin removed)
- 1-2+ TBSP Avocado Oil
- 2 3.5 oz dark chocolate bars (I use Trader joes brand)
- Sea salt, crushed hazelnuts and cocoa powder for garnish
Instructions
- Place your hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast them in the oven on 300 degrees for 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool.
- Place the roasted hazelnuts in a food processor and process on high, adding in one TBSP of avocado oil.
- Continue to process hazelnuts until they are a thick paste like consistency. You may have to stop and stir the mixture between processing.
- If the blend seems too dry, add an additional TBSP of oil (more if necessary 1 TSP at a time).
- Once you’ve processed the hazelnuts, heat one of your chocolate bars in a microwave safe glass dish, 30 second intervals at a time, until fully melted.
- Pour melted chocolate into hazelnut paste and process on high for several minutes until chocolate has cooled and is fully incorporated into the hazelnuts.
- The consistency should be thick and almost like a soft sticky dough.
- Roll spoonfuls of your hazelnut and chocolate mixture into balls and place them onto parchment paper to chill.
- Chill in the fridge for 20 minutes, then heat your 2nd dark chocolate bar the same as above, for 30 second intervals, until fully melted.
- Using a fork, dip your chilled hazelnut rounds into the melted dark chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off.
- Repeat this step until all truffles have been coated in dark chocolate.
- Place the truffles back on the parchment and top with sea salt, hazelnuts and cocoa powder immediately.
- Drizzle truffles with remaining dark chocolate and place in the fridge to cool.
- They’re ready once fully chilled.
Top your truffles how you wish. Add hazelnuts for crunch, sea salt to bring out the flavors, and cocoa powder for a classic finish.

I love these flavor combos for fall and winter!

They’d be the perfect quick and easy treat to serve at the next party you host.

More on the way soon!
