My Little Pony Party Inspiration
I hope you had a fabulous 4th of July! The holiday is now over, and I’m back to working behind the scenes on plans for my daughter’s 6th birthday party, which is quickly approaching! The first step in planning her party or any party, is to create the inspiration, which allows the opportunity to brainstorm concepts and styling plans based on the theme chosen. This year our sweet girl’s got her heart set on a My Little Pony party, and the challenge….to make said pony party look posh.
Instead of planning her birthday celebration around the entire um…gang of characters in a variety of colors, she gets to pick her favorite pony of the bunch! Relief came over me when she decided on Fluttershy, as her light pink and yellow coloring is lovely inspiration for a magical summertime celebration.

Even though the party will not be over the top in character details, there are many designs that will tie in the pony theme and be seen throughout. The pastel color scheme of soft pink, yellow, & blue will be balanced with gold accents for a touch of posh.
Tassels are a pony theme necessity! In addition to cute shaped cookies, and pretty paper goods like the ombre’s plates and cupcake flags seen above.
A variety of candies and color coordinating magical goodies will be prepared and arranged in pretty dishes and apothecary jars. We’ll also be adding in plenty of rainbows and butterflies, to complete the look and vibe of the magical Pastel & Pony themed 6th birthday.
