Ice Cream Beanie Boo Party Inspiration
I can hardly believe that in less than a few weeks my oldest daughter will be 7 years old. When I think back, it certainly doesn’t feel like it’s been that many years, but perhaps it’s because she’s such a joy!
For 6 months now, she’s had her heart set on a beanie boo themed party. If you’re not familiar with beanie boos, they’re those TY stuffed animals with the large glittery eyes. But here’s a little honest mom moment for ya, until about a month ago, I secretly hoped she’d change her mind and choose a different party theme. Of course she didn’t budge, so here we are.
My daughter owns a zillion of these little beanie boo stuffed animals already (if you have an elementary aged son or daughter, I’m sure you understand.)
Since planning a party around all the beanie boos seemed a little all over the place, we set our focus on her favorite beanie boo (Kiki below), and tied in ice cream for some fun summer vibes. It’s taken me a while to form the inspiration for this one, but I finally pulled something together.
Below you’ll see little glimpse of what I’ve started, in a very frazzled and last-minute kind of fashion.
As you can see, our color scheme is aqua and pink, with a few gold and silver accents. We chose the color pink to tie in the bow of my daughter’s fave beanie boo, as seen above and aqua because she loves it at the moment. As usual I’ll be working with a white backdrop, which is my favorite blank canvas. In addition to the color scheme, we’ll be decorating with honeycomb balls, and coordinating plates, napkins and candles from Meri Meri, with a parlor-like ice cream stripes. I’m thinking I’ll try my hand at making the diy ice cream balloons and we’ll be baking cookies shaped into ice cream carts with my custom designed cookie cutter seen above. I basically have one week to pull this all together, so wish me luck!
