Spring Kitten Party Inspiration
You guys, I feel like I say this as each year passes but it’s so hard for me to believe that my youngest is turning 4 soon. More like, within a few weeks soon. I’m a bit behind on the planning this year due to the construction of our home and just dealing with life and momma/work duties…you know how it goes, but I just finally finished up the invitations and I’ll be mailing them off soon, so at least that’s a start!
Although we don’t own any kittens, my daughter’s just love them! So this year when we asked M (our youngest) what type of party she’d like to have, a kitten theme was her first pick. And here we are now!
Most of you who have gotten to know me, know how much I love to plan a good party, complete with all sorts of posh details. Since her birthday is in spring, we’ll be incorporating plenty of fresh flowers, pretty pastels and kittens of course, by way of treats and decor!
It’s s so funny how inspiration works too. My girls and I were in Target a few weeks ago and we found this adorable pastel floral print dress, that just happened to be in M’s size. So that was our main source of inspo for the color scheme, which can be seen throughout her invitations and the rest of the decorative aspects I’m pulling together. In the mean time, here’s my vision for her fabulous 4th purrthday!
Pastels with touches of bright pink. Oversized balloons, floral kitten headbands that I’ll be DIYing, and wooden sign a variety of florals. Chic tableware with gold accents that will be displayed throughout the party along with the gold fringe bunting. The glitter candles, white cake stand and blush sprinkles will dress up the sweet treats perfectly, including but not limited to my signature cookies that I’ll be shaping like little kitten faces, using the cutter from my shop.
And so it begins. This party comes with a lot of diy projects, and I’m starting to feel like I’ve bitten off more than I can chew, but this wouldn’t be the first time. I’ll share updates with you as they come together, which includes photos from M’s 4th birthday shoot and the invitations as well.
