Home sweet home…almost
Happy December friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! We spent most of ours preparing for Christmas…getting our tree and decorations up yesterday. We also spent some time out at our new home.
Being honest, we were expecting to be living in our new home by now, but have ran into many delays with our tile and flooring, pushing us back much further than anticipated.
Our plans for having our first Christmas there are looking less and less likely (at least this year), which is certainly a disappointment…kind of a huge disappointment. But there’s always a silver lining right? Thinking positive, I know it will be pretty special to start 2017 off in our new home. For those reasons (and many more) I cannot wait until January.
When our new home is finally done and we transition over to our new space, I’ll be putting my shop on vacation while I set up my new office/studio. I have plans to re-open sometime later next month or in early February. Of course with the re-opening I’ll have plenty of new products and designs to share with you all!
And for now, here’s a few progress pics of our space in its current state.
My favorite part of all…that chandelier…
I felt like a kid at Christmas when I saw it installed and hanging this weekend. It is everything I expected and more. Modern, yet elegant which totally suits my design perspective.

Initially the chandelier started out as my inspiration on Houzz, and quickly turned into a dream come true, when I was able to find it for a reasonable price there.
I think it suits our home perfectly.
Currently dreaming of dinner parties.
Also our cabinets are 90 percent installed, in all white, and we have countertops coming this week or next.

All and all, we are super close to saying home sweet home.
The moment when we spend our first night there as a family will make this entire 3+ year process completely worth it.
I have plenty of upcoming projects and goodies that I can’t wait to share with you all, in between packing and picking final pieces for home in progress.
More coming soon!

How long has the remodel taken? I am about to embark on a kitchen and bathroom remodel myself and I’m scared to think about the length of time it will take.
We started building our home in August of 2015 so it’s been 16 months, but that was for construction of the entire home. A remodel should take much less time! Good luck!
Brandi I can hear your excitement in your words as you talk about the chandelier and for good reason oh My is Soooo Amazing. I agree it’s perfectly you and suits the space. It looks so grand and chic and extravagant. I’m happy that you have set your sights for Jan 2017 and know what? If it happens before that it’ll be extra special..a huge blessing. Love the progress. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much! I do love the chandelier and can’t wait to show you it in person soon! It looks prettier in person โจโจ and yes it’s looking like 2017 but you are right if it happened sooner it would certainly be a special surprise. We’re getting close now!!
