Snow Day

Happy Wednesday! I have a few new posts in the works, but just wanted to share with you some pics from our trip to the Mountain this past weekend. Since we’re in the process of building our new home, we don’t have any major vacations in the plans, but we are taking advantage of the beautiful scenery that surrounds us, with weekend day trips. Something we always look forward to doing together as a family, especially with our hectic schedules during the week.  Although I’ll be the first to admit I’ve never been crazy about snow, it truly makes for some beautiful scenery.

And our girls had the time of their lives! 

We went sledding, threw snowballs, made snow angels and lasted close to 3 hours. It wasn’t until we made it back to the car that they realized how cold they really were. Brrrr!!!

In an attempt to stay warm enough, I wore my hunters with three layers and knee-highs, a chunky knit turtleneck sweater, leopard print gloves and a bright lip, for a pop of color. The knit headband was a handmade gift from my mother in law. Unfortunately the staying warm part didn’t work in my favor, but I’m still smiling.

Although we had a lovely experience at the mountain, at this point all wintered out. I’m personally hoping that Mr. Groundhog’s prediction for an early Spring comes true…and fast, because I long for the warmth of the sun on my face.
