When it comes to holiday celebrations, I’m all about glam and sparkle! Just about anything I can find with a touch of glitter or glitz is enough to make my heart sing. Silver is quite fabulous on its own, but for xmas I love how it pairs with red and white. The 3 colors together create a harmonious display of joy that lightens my heart and reminds me that the holiday is near. As far as the glam goes, I get super giddy this time of year because I know I can get away with going overboard on the shimmer and posh! Best believe I take full advantage of it.
As you can see, I used all of my favorites, as inspiration for holiday entertaining! Here’s how you can add some cheer and glam to your xmas celebration.
The one thing I love about throwing a Christmas party is that most often your home is already decorated with holiday trimmings, so the addition of a few items, such as colored paper straws, a festive liquor bottle like the Belvedere Red, or treats in your color scheme are enough to set the tone. Since these 3 hues are very traditional for the season, you’ll find decor available in these colors in almost every store!
I know most of us are busy this time of year, so ordering treats such as macarons or cupcakes locally will make things easier on any hostess! You can always dress them up by placing them in purchased cupcake liners for display. Let me just add that the above Red Velvet macaron above is from Dana’s Bakery. They ship all over the US and are absolutely delicious!
Serving cocktails? There’s nothing better than a vodka cocktail and I love the bottle of this Belvedere Red! Not only is if festive but when purchased, Belvedere donates a portion of proceeds to the Global Fund to assist in AIDS research, a way to give back!
Mix 1 shot with 1 cup pomegranate or cranberry juice and top with a splash of club soda for a holiday favorite.
Now, how to add the glam, let’s count the ways! Mix and match items in a variety of price ranges for a look that will add the wow factor. Like the sequin placemats at H&M home for $9.95 apiece (steal), or glittered ornaments, silver serving plates, or sparkling serving set from Lief. Yes please to all of the above!
And If you are looking for an alternative to Secret Santa, consider an ornament exchange. Ornaments last a long time, and there’s always a great story behind every one that hangs on a tree, so I love the idea of incorporating this activity into a Christmas celebration. The simplicity of all white ornaments, is not only gorgeous but helps balance out all of the sparkle and glitz I go crazy for.
Do you have Christmas party plans? If so, and you’re anything like me, you’re probably not anywhere near prepared. I can hardly believe we’ve only got 8 days left to go. We just got our tree last week and finally finished decorating and getting some Christmas shopping done over the weekend. Wishing I had a few more weeks!
Oh!! And by the way, I won the entire fantasy football season this year, coming in 1st place and finishing the regular season at 10-3 + two playoff wins. Quite thrilled considering my hubby didn’t offer me much advice this year. Another excuse to celebrate I suppose!
Cheers and check back soon!
