One of our favorite ways to kick off the weekend is with a beverage in hand, on the back patio. Sometimes it’s nice to just enjoy a cider or glass of wine, but mixing things up with a craft cocktail every now and again is also fun!
National tequila day was earlier this week, so the timing couldn’t be better for homemade margaritas for happy hour at home, infused with a little lavender!
If you grow lavender at home, this summer infused margarita is a must make!
The floral notes of the lavender can be a bit overpowering but when cooked down into a simple syrup, yesss…simple syrup, it becomes this deliciously smooth sweetener, that’s good on just about everything!
Including today’s margs, which I’m certain you’ll enjoy just as much as we have!
Lavender Margaritas
The lavender syrup is floral but not too sweet. When paired with the margarita its a little bit savory with that salty rim.
No margarita mix necessary for these, just quick to make fresh simple ingredients that are easy to prep in advance and serve!
Fragrant, floral and refreshing, this Lavender Margarita has summer written all over it!

The lavender margaritas can easily become mocktails by simply omitting the tequila and added sparkling soda in its place.
In addition to this beverage, use the lavender simple syrup in fresh lemonade or paired with ice cream sundaes or milkshakes! The possibilities are endless, but today I’ll enjoy mine in a margarita or two, since it’s been a long (short) week!
Join me and give this lavender margarita a try soon too!
Happy weekend!
