I’m gonna be an auntie again!
My dear sister is having a baby girl in July and we couldn’t wait to celebrate her new journey to motherhood with a special baby shower earlier this month!
The celebration was intimate, filled with love, close girlfriends who drove up from Seattle and Canada and so many good wishes for our precious niece on the way!
Twinkle & Rose Baby Shower Details
We began with a feminine color scheme of blush and gold, and a twinkle theme for the baby shower. We incorporated roses for an elegant touch, which paired beautifully with the stars throughout.
My sister, Ja’Niya Walker is a multi talented style expert and blogger, and wears pregnancy so beautifully! Her and that darling bump looked beyond precious in this white dress she selected for the celebration.
The Decor
From the pink and gold balloon banner, to the letter balloon and twinkle garland, my sis was thrilled with the decorations. The focal point was certainly the dessert table with the gold lettered sign, but I also made custom prints and custom confetti with the words “baby” and “twinkle”.
The dining table was set, with place settings for each guest and fresh pink and white arranged roses to tie the look together.
Reserved for the mama to be..
We served the food on beautiful pink and gold party plates which can be found in my shop, and will be linked with the rest of the party supplies and decor below.
On the Menu
My sister has many dietary restrictions so we kept the menu light and fresh with lots of healthy vegan and gluten free small bites.
Fresh heirloom tomato and basil crostini (Dairy & GF option)
Strawberry and goat cheese crostini (Dairy & GF option)
Charcuterie (without meat and lots of dairy free cheeses)
Fresh assorted fruit
Vietnamese Fresh Spring Rolls with two dipping sauces
Roasted nuts
Crudité
Cucumber Tomato Salad
From the Bar
We served Rosé. Sparkling and Non.
Infused lemon and mint water
Mom-mosas for the mom to be, made with grapefruit juice and San Pellegrino.
For Dessert
It’s not often that I make cakes, but I enjoyed putting this one together for the special occasion. It was a 3 layer vanilla cake with fresh lemon curd and lemon frosting. Dairy Free.
The cake was decorated with piped frosting stars, edible glitter stars, roses and a gold “it’s a girl” cake topper.
I also made a small grain free cake with the same filling and frosting as the larger cake.
French Macarons with fresh raspberry filling and lemon frosting went fast and so did the prosecco gummy bears we served!
It made me super happy that everyone enjoyed the food so much!
Party Favors
After games and visiting, we thanked guests with flower packets of primrose to plant in their gardens. The flower seeds are perennials so they’ll come back each year with a reminder of the special celebration for our dear friend and sister and her beautiful new baby girl on the way!
We also asked guests to write words of wisdom for the mom-to-be be on little onesies. My favorite was the one that said “when all else fails, call your mama.” This is so true!
The sign of a great celebration is one where you forget about the time and just enjoy those around you. That’s exactly what happened at the shower, with the visit extending late into the evening.
All of the decor and items used to make this baby shower so special are below!
Congratulations to my amazing sister and best friend. This is such a special time for our family and I feel very blessed to be an auntie again and to meet my precious niece soon.
