DIY Halloween Treat Bags

Now that Fall has arrived, I’m totally in the festive spirit! All it took was recent trip to my local Walmart and a stroll down the candy aisle to get me thinking about the season ahead, and, of course, Halloween! Can you believe it’s now just over a month away? I’m a firm believer in stocking up on Halloween candy early, cause let’s be honest, it sells out fast. That’s why I purchased the new NESTLÉ® Assorted Jumbo Bag – 400 Count; from Walmart so we’d have more than enough for the upcoming holiday and to make today’s DIY Halloween treat Bags.

The NESTLÉ® Assorted Jumbo Candy Bag from Walmart has some of our all-time favorite candies in perfect miniature sizes. We especially love the NERDS® and CRUNCH® bars, but you’ll find BUTTERFINGER® and GOBSTOPPERS® in the mix too! We absolutely loved the combination of chocolate and sugar candy. There’s something for everyone!

The assorted pack comes at a great value for the quantity, with something for everyone to choose from.

Since I’m a sucker for party details, I’m sharing simple DIY Halloween treat bags inspired by the festive assorted candy mix from NESTLÉ® and Walmart. The bright-colored candy is a fabulous contrast to the simple white treat bags, decorated with spooky words in black lettering and bat cutouts.

The treat bags are a breeze to make and a creative way to hand out candy to trick or treaters and party guests!

Just trim them to size, label and fill to the brim with sweet candy from Nestlé®.

SUPPLIES

1 NESTLÉ® Assorted Jumbo Bag – 400 Count

1 pack of large and small glassine bags.

Spooky Words Free Download

White paper to print and cut spooky words by hand.

OR, 1 sheet of adhesive black vinyl to print spooky words with a dye cut machine.

Bat cutouts (optional-find at your local craft store.)

Glue stick or scotch tape and scissors.

INSTRUCTIONS

Download Spooky Words to your computer.

Print the words on white paper and cut them out.

OR cut the words out on the black vinyl sheet using a dye cut machine.

Trim the top inch off each of the glassine bags to create a clean straight edge.

For Spooky Words cutout by paper: Apply glue or tape to the back of each cut out word. Attach the words on an angle to the center of each glassine bag.

For Spooky Words cutout with vinyl: Remove the cutout words from the sheet of vinyl and adhere to the center of each glassine bag.

Attach bat cutouts to each bag (optional).

Fill the finished treat bag with Nestlé Halloween Candy and they’re ready to hand out or display.

Repeat these steps until you have filled the desired amount of treat bags and they’re ready for Halloween.

These treat bags are chic enough for grown up celebrations but fitting for trick or treaters and kids as well.
