Nine Year Photos + Mermaid Invites

Today is my first born’s ninth birthday! I’m amazed that it’s been nine years since I first became her mommy.

I remember the moment when I first got to hold her in my arms, just like yesterday. And somehow, the time in-between has flown.

Every year as my girl’s turn an age older, we follow the tradition of taking birthday photos. It was a wish of Amaia’s to have her photos taken in front of the Eiffel Tower while we were in Paris, so we got up extra early 2 mornings in a row to make that wish come true!

If you’ve been to Paris before, you know how busy the tourist traffic is near the Tower. Trocadéro is the go-to spot for photos with the Eiffel Tower as the backdrop. Unfortunately, our first visit was super busy and the sun was a bit too bright so we went back to try again the next morning.

It makes my heart so happy knowing how much this moment in front of the Eiffel Tower meant to her!

Written all over her face with the happiest smile and a glow from within!

Amaia has a style that’s unique to her personality. She’s definitely a girly girl, but has a sporty side. She loves to wear sneakers with dresses and also loves to match with me and her little sister.

For her look of the day, she wore a denim romper and Adidas shell tops. Comfy for walking but still dressed up enough for photos and a day in the city. See below for links for her outfit details.

If there was one word I could use to describe my daughter, it would be tender heart. She has the sweetest spirit and is incredibly compassionate. She has a love for sports and was recently chosen for a select soccer team. Amaia is my mini me in so many ways. Loves being my photo assistant, and helping get creative in the kitchen. When she grows up she would like to be a Veterinarian.

She is also an amazing and very patient big sister!

This year we’ll be celebrating Amaia’s birthday mermaid style! This is the first time in nine years that we’ve had her party a week late, but she’s been playing in a soccer tournament all weekend so she’s lucky to get to celebrate two weekends in a row.
