Happy Holidays!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Ours went by entirely too fast, which I find tends to happen every year. I still have no idea how it’s already Thursday! My sister was in town from Los Angeles for 5 days and one of my nephews was up from Oregon. Our time together flew by! My hubby and I also celebrated our 20 year anniversary (of the day we began dating), on Tuesday.
I met my husband my freshmen year of high school and we’ve been together ever since. Reaching such a milestone was certainly a day worth celebrating at one of our favorite restaurants, the Barking Frog. The picture below was actually taken by my youngest daughter, who’s 4. I’m still trying to figure out how she held the camera still long enough to capture it.
It’s become tradition for my family and I take photos for Christmas and holiday cards each December. I did have intentions of sharing the pics here sooner, but with so much going on, I ran out of time.
I’m pretty sure I sent my holiday cards out later than I ever have before, but I’m hoping they at least arrived by Christmas day!
We went with a wardrobe color scheme of blush pink, cream and grey, and ventured out early one morning to take our photos. It was a cold and breezy, but no rain, so we lucked out there.
At one point we actually got splashed with water from the ocean, so we had to make a quick location change, with a stop for hot cocoa and apple cider to warm up.
A kind lady walked by and offered to take a photo of the 4 of us together. That doesn’t seem to happen often enough, so I’m certainly cherishing the moment.
The girls boots and my youngest’s faux fur were found at Target and Old Navy.
Most everything else the girls wore came from H&M.
My wool jacket and beanie are also from H&M. They helped keep me warm, long enough to snap a few extra shots, taken by my hubby.
Nothing compared to seeing my girls smiling faces light up for the pictures. It’s certainly been a memorable few weeks, and these photos remind me to pause and enjoy each moment. Something I definitely need to be doing more of.
Thank you so much for reading! I’m still in disbelief that 2017 arrives this weekend, although in many ways I’m ready. 2016 has been a challenging year to say the least…and our house is still not done! With that said, I’m very much anticipating all that the new year has in store. I’ll have a sweet treat to share with you all tomorrow that’s fitting for the weekend festivities.
