Ladurée Love
Last month my family and I made a special trip up to Vancouver to go to Ladurée. Ladurée is the famous French bakery known mostly for their amazing french macarons. And when I say amazing I mean it.

Ladurée macarons are smooth, delicate and crisp, yet chewy and soft enough to melt in your mouth. They come in a variety of unique flavors in fruity jams and sweet cremes and are beautifully packaged in signature and luxurious mint green boxes.

Almost too pretty to eat, but at the same time highly addictive.
Ladurée set the bar high for us. I’ve tried and made a lot of macarons in my days and in my opinion, not one batch or bakery is as good. My hubby and I started a tradition to try the macarons in every city we visit. It’s always something to look forward to, but still no comparison to the first time trying Ladurée macarons in New York a few years ago.
We’ve been planning a visit to Vancouver since they opened in the Spring and finally made that happen in July. Of course the trip was worth the 2 hours of traffic. As expected, it did not disappoint.

When we arrived, I ordered each flavor of macarons which ranged from black licorice and salted caramel, to rose petal, melon, raspberry, vanilla and more. My favorites are always the fruit flavors with the jam fillings, but honestly all of them are SO good.

Since this was an impromptu trip, I chose to dress casual, in black jeans and a simple striped tank. Since my hair color is still a work in progress (more on that soon), I wore a hat and then later tied it back in a bun.

I’m sure I looked like a tourist with the obscene amount of photos I took while I was there. No shame though. Completely worth it for the experience and also so I could share some of it with you here.

Next time I go, which will be soon, we’ll stay for tea and bring home some of their amazing jams.

If you’re fortunate enough to be in the PNW, I highly recommend a visit to Vancouver and stop on Robson for these heavenly little treats. They’re completely worth traveling and stopping for!

I also recommend buying enough macarons to enjoy after you get home. They keep in the fridge for a day or two and will freeze well.

They always make for great photos and are the perfect sweet reward, accompanied with tea, champagne or even on their own.

Have you been to Ladurée yet? If so, are they your favorite macarons as well?

Thanks for reading! Last weekend was busy, and filled with plenty of party fun for my oldest daughter. My hubby and I celebrate our 11 year anniversary this weekend and will be heading North to Kelowna. I’ll be sharing final images from her sweet celebration here soon.

So glad to hear you enjoyed your trip North. Our family was in Paris last month and I went to Laduree for the first time. I had never had a macaron before and I have to admit, they were delicious! I live in Vancouver and haven’t yet been to the Robson location, but I think I’ll make a trip down there very soon.
Thanks Colleen, we live right across the border so it doesn’t take too long to get there. How amazing to go to the actual Ladurée in Paris! That’s on my bucket list for sure!
Seems like a must visit place Brandi and it’s so close. This was a great post, informational, with pretty macaroons to look at ( and no doubt they were all delicious), pretty cute pics of the store and of you, hat on, hat off and style for the day. :) Thanks for sharing
Thank you!! I so enjoyed going and experiencing it. I still have a few left in my freezer that I’m saving for a rainy day! We need to go up together one of these days ?
So pretty! Glad you get to enjoy Ladurée over there! ♥
Thank you Melissa ? My plan is to visit Ladurée in Paris next ?
