New Home Update
Happy Friday! I thought I’d shared a home progress update with you all today, since it’s been a while.
You know when people say that construction always takes longer than expected? Well that’s exactly what we’re experiencing right now. Some major delays and slow downs with drywall and a water leak in our catchment storage tanks have set us back several weeks. So right now we are 2 months beyond our home move in date.
On the plus side, the drywall should be finished up today and our exterior paint has been completed (hooray!)
We’ve decided on 3 contrasting shades of grey with white trim. Our garage and front door are also white.
If you follow along on instragram you might’ve seen my post about the off white paint swatches. I mean…how many off whites are there?! I definitely took a liking to the swatches with dessert names, like Macaroon Cream & Crumb Cookie (no surprise there)..

But since this is not just my home, my hubby and I compromised on PPG’s Purity. Purity is warmer off white hue that will offer subtle contrast against all the white molding, trim and doors in our home.

We will be painting our entire home in PPG’s Purity, with accent colors in our girl’s rooms (purple and pink).

Once we’ve painted the interior, we get to move onto floors, cabinets, countertops, lighting and finally finishing trim work. Hopefully it takes much less time to finish the rest of the house than it has to do the drywall. Because hashtag #turtlestatus…aka incredibly

This is my future office/studio space with plenty of natural light. I am already putting together inspiration for the design of this space and I can’t wait to share all of those updates with you here, as this nearly 3 year long building process comes to a close!

Have a fab weekend! Fall related projects are on the way!

It’s such a fun but long process. Can’t wait to see more pictures as your home gets towards the finish line!
So true! Thank you Colleen!! It will be worth it once we’re finally moved in. :)
