My Little Pony 6th Birthday
Hoping you’ve all had a great week! I’m just returning from a beautiful time in Napa with my hubby. He surprised me with a trip for our 10th wedding anniversary! More on that soon but now that I’m home and settled in, I’ve finally finished editing pics from my daughter’s 6th birthday celebration earlier this month. It’s taken me a bit longer than expected to get to these, but you know how it goes. Life I tell you!
This year we celebrated my sweet girl’s 6th with two separate parties. We held her first celebration at a Gymnastics academy, and followed up with a smaller party back at our home with family and close friends.
As you can see, my daughter chose a character theme of My Little Pony for her party. In order to make it unique and posh if you will, we centered her party around her favorite MLP character Fluttershy, instead of focusing on the entire group of ponies. Our color scheme matched that of pastel pink and yellow Fluttershy with white and gold accents tied in. We incorporated many My Little Pony details by decorating with plush stuffies, balloons, multi colored and sized honeycombs, pony figurines and plenty of character themed paper prints and labels that I made using photoshop.

We served our guests a variety of sweets, treats and homemade pizzas on the bbq for lunch. Our signature beverage was the Pony Palmer (aka Arnold Palmer) made with decaf iced tea and homemade raspberry lemonade, alongside assorted fruit mix-ins and garnishes.

At my daughter’s request, I made homemade confetti cupcakes with raspberry lemon icing and topped each with mini sugar cookie cupcake toppers. I also made Friendship is Magic macarons, filled with homemade raspberry preserves, my signature lemon sugar cookies and a special personal birthday cake just for her. We also offered an assortment of sweet candies like fruit marshamallows, jelly bellys and m&ms for guests to enjoy.

The Meri Meri ombre and charmed paper plates, napkins and cups were used to serve food and drinks on and they fit in with our theme beautifully! Look for these to be available in the shop very soon!

Other fun details included the handmade pastel cloud ribbon wands for the kids. The BFF candy charm bracelets and cloud cookie cutter that we used for favors.

All additional details, from the hand cut confetti, to floral arrangements, prints, desserts, garland, and decor were created by yours truly.

Styling and designing is something that never gets old for me. I love every second of personalizing each party that I have the opportunity to create from start to finish. It truly is a passion of mine that brings so much joy and biggest smiles to the faces that matter most.

Like hers.

I managed to miss out on capturing pictures of the birthday girl’s cake in time, so below you’ll see the 2 tier version with the ribbon banner and the original 3 tier (before it was eaten.)
Make a wish birthday girl!
As the party ended, each guest was sent home with a fun filled goodie bag, complete with a cloud cookie cutter, fluttershy’s sprinkle mix, a pony hair extension, tattoo, sticker, ring and sweet tarts.

The perfect finish to her pony filled magical day!
This is by far my favorite party to create to date and my sweet 6 year old had what she called the best day ever! I thank you all for reading. Much more on the way soon!
