You may have noticed that my obsession with hot cocoa continues and with the cold weather outside and Valentine’s day fast approaching I have the perfect excuse to make another one.
This hot cocoa specifically was inspired by two of my favorite things, strawberries and white chocolate. When combined they turn a darling shade of pink making this recipe perfect for hearts day!
Not only is it decadent, but adorable jarred too. Whether you’re making this for yourself to enjoy, or giving jars away as homemade gifts. Prepare to fall in love.
Pink Hot Cocoa Mix:
Ingredients~
1/2 Cup Dry Milk Powder
1 Cup good white chocolate, grated
1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
1/4 Cup Coffee Creamer
1/2 Cup dried strawberries ground into a powder.
1 pint size Mason Jar.
Festive Sprinkles.
Directions~
Grate white chocolate in a food processor or with hand grater and set aside.
Grind strawberries in food processor until they’re in the form of powder.
Measure each ingredient and layer in mason jar in sequence referenced above.
Top with sprinkles.
Seal and decorate.
Notes~
Add an instruction tag to each jar of hot cocoa mix.
For preparation: dump entire jar of mix into a bowl and stir well.
Add 1/2 cup of blended mix to mug and top with 1 1/4 cup boiling water.
You could also use Soy Milk or Regular Milk for a richer hot cocoa.
You can never go wrong by adding more white chocolate.
Makes 4 servings.
Top with homemade marshmallows, sprinkles, or a dollop of whipped cream and enjoy!
