Refreshing homemade lemonade topped with creme de violette liqueur for a fun and floral twist!
For the Spiked Lemonade:
6–8 large lemons juiced.
1 cups raw organic sugar (+ 3 cups water) for simple syrup.
3 additional cups cold water for lemonade.
2 ounces Creme de Violette liqueur (1 per cocktail)
Lemon wheels, peel, and edible violet or violas for garnish.
For the Lemonade:
Start by making the simple syrup.
Pour 1 cup raw sugar into a pot with 3 cups water.
Heat on medium high and bring to a rolling boil.
Allow sugar and water mixture to boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat to cool.
While the simple syrup is cooling, juice 6-8 large lemons. This should be enough for 2 cups lemon juice.
Pour measured lemon juice in to a pitcher with 3 cups cold water.
Pour in fully cooled simple syrup and lemon wheels for garnish. Stir well.
For the Spiked Creme de Violette Lemonade:
Place ice cubes into two glasses.
Pour 1 ounce of creme de violette liqueur over the ice in each glass.
Top with lemonade.
Garnish with lemon wheel, zest and violet blooms.
