The weekend is finally here and there’s plenty to celebrate! First off, we made it through another week of quarantine, which is a good indicator that even in the still moments, time continues to move forward. That forward movement is symbolic of our lives returning to some form of normalcy soon. And while we prepare for that day, let’s remember to clap at our victories even if small. Maybe you got dressed every day this week, or organized a pantry/closet on your list, perhaps you helped your kids complete all their weekly assignments or finished an important project on the back burner. Whatever this week looked like for you, you are deserving of a toast, so let’s raise a glass to progress, with this refreshing gin and strawberry jam cocktail!
GIN & STRAWBERRY JAM COCKTAIL
Light and refreshing spring cocktail mixed with gin, lime juice, quick simple syrup, pantry strawberry jam and a dash of sparkling wine.
QUARANTINE COCKTAILS
This Gin and jam cocktail is the perfect adult beverage option for quarantine and toasting! The recipe features basic pantry ingredients that you won’t have to run to the grocery store to pick up! Make the cocktail with whatever jam you have on hand at home, from raspberry to apricot. You can even substitute the gin for vodka, rum or tequila! For those reasons and more, this fruity and floral bev is the epitome of the quarantine cocktail and totally worthy of a try!
HOW TO MAKE GIN AND STRAWBERRY JAM COCKTAIL
This gin and strawberry jam cocktail is super easy to mix up, taking just a few moments from start to finish. Simply pour all of the cocktail ingredients into a shaker filled with ice. Shake, pour and top with sparkling wine! So quick, and light, you’ll love the subtle fruitiness the strawberry jam adds to the cocktail. Word of caution, it only takes one of these to hit the spot, so remember to drink responsibly!
GIN COCKTAILS
Gin is similar to vodka, yet is distilled with botanicals like juniper and citrus and is floral forward in taste. It pairs well with spring cocktails and fruit and herbal concoctions. While it’s made with a variety of grains, gin is usually still considered gluten free friendly.
HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE SIMPLE SYRUP
Making homemade simple syrup is as easy as pie! I use a 4-1 method, for a good amount of smooth sweetness when added to any beverage. Mix 1 part sugar of choice (raw organic) to 4 parts water. Bring to a boil and set aside to cool. Store in an airtight container for up to one week for mixing in cocktails of choice! See full recipe below for specific instructions.
Cheers!

Hi Brandi this sounds delicious and I suppose you could use any kind of jam? Very inventive & creative and though I’m not huge fan of gin, you make it very inviting to try because of the ease of making it but also because of the jam. Haha, thanks for the warning of one is enough!
Hehe! Thanks for commenting! Yes any jam would work and one cocktail goes a long way! 🍸🍸
This looks delicious Brandi! You make it very inviting with the ease in which you can make this cocktail and the addition of the jam is a wonderful surprise. Very creative and inventive! I suppose any jam would work? Thanks also for the disclaimer, “of one is more than enough” for those who might make the mistake of more than a few because it tastes as great as it looks.
Thank you for the very sweet words! I think you’d actually enjoy the cocktail! Just choose your favorite jam for added fruitiness. Cheers 💕🍸
