Description

Sweet and decadent red velvet hot cocoa mix that tastes just like red velvet cake! Easy to layer and assemble to give out as gifts during the holidays.


Ingredients

3/4 Cup Dry Milk Powder

1/4 Cup + 2 tablespoons Natural Unsweetened Hershey’s Bakers Powder

1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar

1/2 Cup Red Velvet Cake Mix – Heat treated.

1 Pint size Mason Jar

Festive Sprinkles


Instructions

HOW TO TOAST FLOUR/CAKE MIX:

Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Line a baking sheet with parchment or silpat.

Evenly spread the flour/cake mix onto the baking sheet.

Toast for 5-10 minutes be careful not to burn.

Cool completely before adding to the cocoa mix.

ASSEMBLING HOT COCOA MIX

Measure each ingredient and layer in mason jar in this order:

  1. Dry milk powder, cake mix, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, sprinkles.
  2. Seal and decorate.
  3. Add an instruction tag to each jar of hot cocoa.
