Today my baby turns five, and here come the waterworks!!! I know all of you mama’s out there can relate. Why is it that time goes so fast as our little ones grow? I feel like the older I get, the quicker the days go by and here we are now, five years later, and she’s just a few months from starting Kindergarten.

If I could freeze time IRL I totally would, but since I can’t, I’ll just keep taking pics of my girls, which is the next best thing, right?

I’ve totally taken after my dad in the photo taking department.  Photography was one of his passions and he used to torture my siblings and I with all of his photos, especially on special occasions. I lost my dad when I was 17,  and my Mila just happens to share the same birthday as him.

She’s the sweetest little bug. An old soul with a big heart, the most charming smile (as you can see), and soooo much character. Her hugs are healing and her giggles, infectious.

Oh and did I mention that she loves flamingos?  Actually, she loves them so much that she wanted a flamingo birthday party!

Those of you who’ve gotten to know me here, know how much I love to plan and style a party from start to finish. I’d normally have party inspiration to share with you by now, but due to our recent move, I ran out of time. At least I got her invitations out within a reasonable timeframe.

Here’s a look at the final design that I created using photoshop.

The gold stamp and stickers on the envelopes add the sweetest touch.

Happy birthday to my sunshine! Earlier today we celebrated with mama daughter mani/pedi’s and later we’re eating dinner and dessert at her favorite restaurant. Next weekend we’ll be celebrating flamingo style with family and friends! More party details coming soon!

  1. Every party or event you plan is always so fun, fantastic and creative, and the upcoming party is going to be no exception. You love the opportunity to plan a celebration and they are always so darn special and adorable. This Birthday party theme for Mila, is unique, fun and it's going to be a flamingo win-win thanks to your craftiness and great sense of style for all things "posh and celebratory" I can't wait for the festivities to begin.
