Happy 2017! I hope you all had a memorable NYE celebration! We woke up to plenty of snow yesterday morning, so we took the kids sledding for their second to last day of Christmas break.

I can’t believe our few weeks of holiday magic are coming to a close. I’ve enjoyed every ounce of the down time, but could definitely use a few days more.

Last week I spent some time reflecting on 2016 and working on a list of  business and personal goals for the year ahead….Because I believe we all have work we can do on ourselves, in order to evolve and grow.

I’ve already made up my mind that 2017 will be the year of more down time for me. More living in the moment, and more spontaneous adventures.

Now that our home building process is coming to a close, (more on that soon) I can free up time in my schedule to make those goals a reality. I’m so ready to get back to what life was like before being overly consumed by this giant building project..being honest, it has taken its toll on all of us.

But I’m not stopping there…

The blog and shop will be going through some changes as well.

Since I’ll be in a new and larger location later this month, with better lighting, I’ll be sharing more tutorials and video clips with you all…once I figure out how!

My shop products will cater even more to my passions for baking, creating and celebrating in style, so be sure to stay tuned!

And lastly, social media. More genuine posts and more collaborations are on the way. I’ll also be giving my pinterest and twitter accounts some much needed attention.

In addition to some of my goals for 2017, I wanted to share my favorite snaps from our snow adventures yesterday. It was wonderful celebrating the beginning of the new year with my family. The fresh snow truly felt like a fresh start, blanketing all the lows and rough patches that occurred in 2016. I have hope and a really good feeling that 2017 is going to be spectacular. We have 365 days and a new chapter in front of us to make that a reality.

Do you have any special goals for 2017? I’d love to hear them!

To new starts and blessings in the year ahead!

  1. It was a Winter wonderland for sure and it looks like you guys had a very good time. Amaia and Mila love, love the snow. New Years eve, they were so excited it was snowing and hoped to go sledding after breakfast so yayayay! There smiles are so big!!! Love Love how perfect the scene is and how much love and laughter is echoing from your pictures. Yes to setting goals, changes, growth and lots of hope for an amazing new year. Thanks for sharing
    1. We did! So fun although it took a lot out of me walking up the hills to get there. The girls had a blast. Much deserved before heading back to school. And yes, changes are a must. Always ways to improve. I'm taking the lessons from last year and applying them to my life in 2017 so I can grow in the areas necessary. Thanks so much! Happy New Year <3
  2. Sounds like some serious plans up your sleeve Brandi! I can't wait to see your tutorials! It's so nice to have better lighting for such things. I know what you mean about more downtime and giving your other social media avenues some more attention, both of those things are on my mind too. Those parts of your posts sound exactly like my thoughts! I hope 2017 is fantastic for you and your family and that you have more wonderful moments like the shots you've shared here :)
    1. Thank you Jessica! I appreciate the sweet words and you stopping by to read. We are definitely on the same page when it comes to some of our goals for the new year. Cheers to that! I hope 2017 is just as fabulous for you! xox
